Actually, you can just double-click the .deb file in the file manager in Desktop Mode. It should open up in the Discover app, and you can install it from there. Quick and easy!
Am I the only one who prefers using the terminal? Just open up Konsole in Desktop Mode, navigate to where your .deb file is saved using 'cd', and type 'sudo dpkg -i yourfile.deb' (replace 'yourfile.deb' with the name of your file). Sometimes you'll need to run 'sudo apt-get install -f' afterward to resolve dependencies. Old school but works every time.
