Installing a .deb file on your Steam Deck is pretty straightforward! First, make sure you're in Desktop Mode. Then, download your .deb file and open up the Discover Software Center. There's an 'Install Local Package' option in the menu that'll let you navigate to your downloaded .deb file and install it. Just follow the on-screen instructions, and voilà, you're all set!

Actually, you can just double-click the .deb file in the file manager in Desktop Mode. It should open up in the Discover app, and you can install it from there. Quick and easy!

Am I the only one who prefers using the terminal? Just open up Konsole in Desktop Mode, navigate to where your .deb file is saved using 'cd', and type 'sudo dpkg -i yourfile.deb' (replace 'yourfile.deb' with the name of your file). Sometimes you'll need to run 'sudo apt-get install -f' afterward to resolve dependencies. Old school but works every time.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
