How to Install the EA App on Steam Deck
AssoilzieingThrow路7 months agoHonestly, just stick to the Steam store. It's way easier to manage your games there, and you won't have to jump through hoops to play EA games. Plus, the compatibility is generally better without having to rely on Proton.

First thing's first: Steam Deck runs on SteamOS, but you can switch it to desktop mode to make this process smoother. Once you're in desktop mode, download the Windows version of the EA app (since there's no native SteamOS or Linux version). You might need to enable Proton on your Steam Deck, which allows Windows games and apps to run on Linux. With Proton enabled, install the EA app just like you would on a Windows PC. Remember, your mileage may vary based on the compatibility of the EA app with Proton.
I managed to get the EA app running on my Steam Deck by setting it to Desktop Mode and using Proton. Had to fiddle with the settings a bit, but it works decently. Not the best experience, but it's doable if you really need to access your EA games on the Deck.
