Honestly, just stick to the Steam store. It's way easier to manage your games there, and you won't have to jump through hoops to play EA games. Plus, the compatibility is generally better without having to rely on Proton.

First thing's first: Steam Deck runs on SteamOS, but you can switch it to desktop mode to make this process smoother. Once you're in desktop mode, download the Windows version of the EA app (since there's no native SteamOS or Linux version). You might need to enable Proton on your Steam Deck, which allows Windows games and apps to run on Linux. With Proton enabled, install the EA app just like you would on a Windows PC. Remember, your mileage may vary based on the compatibility of the EA app with Proton.

I managed to get the EA app running on my Steam Deck by setting it to Desktop Mode and using Proton. Had to fiddle with the settings a bit, but it works decently. Not the best experience, but it's doable if you really need to access your EA games on the Deck.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
