First, back up your data. Then, power off the PS4 completely and unplug all cables. Slide the hard drive bay cover off, unscrew the HDD bracket, replace the old drive with the new one, and screw everything back in. Reinstall the system software on the new drive from a USB stick.
Backup your data, turn the PS4 off, and unplug it. Remove the hard drive bay cover, swap the old drive with the new one, and reinstall the system software via USB. Easy peasy!
