Actually, I think using a map editor like TEdit is a better way to manage maps. You can directly import them and even tweak stuff if you're feeling creative.

Installing maps on Terraria is pretty easy and doesn't take much time! First off, you gotta download a map you wanna play. Places like CurseForge or Terraria's forums are gold mines for cool maps. Once you've got your map, find your Terraria folder. It's usually in 'Documents\My Games\Terraria\Worlds.' Just unzip your downloaded map and drop it into that 'Worlds' folder. Boom, you're done!
