Installing SMAPI on your Steam Deck is pretty straightforward! First, make sure you've got SteamOS updated. Then, download SMAPI from its official website. Open the Discover Store on your Steam Deck, search for and install 'Proton Experimental.' Follow the SMAPI instructions for Linux, using the Steam Deck's desktop mode. Copy the SMAPI files into your Stardew Valley game folder. Finally, add ' %command%' to the game's launch options in Steam. Now you're all set to enjoy modded Stardew Valley on the go!

Just get into desktop mode and follow the regular Linux install steps for SMAPI. It's not rocket science.
