How to Install Valorant on an External Hard Drive
Installing Valorant on an external hard drive is pretty straightforward! First, make sure your external drive is properly connected and formatted. Then, when you’re installing the game through the Riot Games client, just choose the external drive as the installation location instead of the default C: drive. Keep in mind, playing from an external drive might slightly increase load times, but it's a great way to save space on your main hard drive.

Honestly, just install it on your main drive. It's not that big and runs better.
Just drag and drop the Valorant folder to your external. Easy! But really, if you want to properly install it on an external hard drive, make sure you select the external drive during the installation process when it asks where you want to install it. Might run a bit slower, but works.
I've done this because my SSD was too full. The game runs fine from an external hard drive. Just remember to pick the external drive as your destination when the installer asks. Been playing like this for months without any issues.
