First, make sure you're in Desktop mode on your Steam Deck. Then, open up a terminal and type 'sudo apt install wine'. Hit enter, and you'll be asked for your password. After typing it in, Wine will start installing. Just follow any on-screen instructions and you should be good to go!

Honestly, why bother? Steam Deck is optimized for SteamOS and Proton for running Windows games. Wine might be overkill and cause unnecessary complications. Stick to what's built-in for the best experience.

Got Wine running on my Steam Deck to run some old Windows classics not available on Steam. It's a bit of a process, but worth it. Make sure you switch to Desktop mode, open Konsole, and punch in 'sudo apt install wine' to get started. Follow the prompts, and voila, Wine is ready for your non-Steam favorites.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
