To play Xbox games on your Steam Deck, you'll primarily use Proton, a compatibility layer that lets Windows games run on Linux. First, ensure Steam Play is enabled in your Steam settings. Then, add the Xbox game as a non-Steam game to your library. If it's not directly supported, you may need to tweak settings or use a third-party tool like PlayOnLinux or Lutris for better compatibility. Remember, not all games will work flawlessly due to DRM or compatibility issues!

Actually got Halo running on my Deck through Proton. Trick is to be patient and tweak a lot. Some games work out of the box, some don鈥檛. But when it works, it鈥檚 gaming gold!

Honestly, just stick to the games on Steam. It's built for it, and you'll avoid a ton of compatibility headaches. Plus, the Steam library is massive!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
