Make sure your Xbox One is connected to the internet first. Then, go to 'Settings', choose 'Account', and look for 'Sign in, security & passkey'. Follow the on-screen instructions to sign in or create a Microsoft account.

I've done this recently! First, make sure your Xbox One is connected to the internet. Then, head over to Settings -> Account -> Sign in, security & passkey. Sign in with your Microsoft account or create a new one. That's it, you're ready for Xbox Live!
