Check the in-game codex or the soldier's abilities screen to get a detailed explanation of each skill and how it can be strategically used in combat.
Each skill in XCOM 2 comes with a tooltip description. Hover over the skill icon for a rundown of what it does; trust me, it's super useful!
Skills in XCOM 2 can generally be interpreted based on the class of the soldier. Sharpshooter skills usually improve accuracy or critical hit chances, while Grenadier skills might enhance explosive damage or cover destruction.
