First, make sure you're friends on your console platform (PSN, Xbox Live, etc.). Then, go to Online Multiplayer in MK11, create a room, and invite your friend from the player list.

Add them to your console's friend list. Then, in Mortal Kombat 11, go to Online > Private Match, and invite them from that menu. Easy as a Fatality!

Just find them in your console's friend list and invite them directly from the Online menu in the game. It's really simple.
