Hop into the game, open your main menu, find the social tab, and click 'invite'. Easy peasy!
You can use the group's menu to find your friends and send them an invite directly from there.
Honestly, it's so simple my cat could do it: main menu > social tab > invite. Done!
Try sending an invite through the Uplay or Xbox Live interface if you're having trouble in-game.
