To invite someone to a WhatsApp group, open the group chat, click on the group name at the top, then choose 'Invite to Group via Link' and share the link.
In my experience, just go to the group info, click 'Add Participants,' and select the contacts. Super simple!
Seriously, just send them the invite link. It's the modern equivalent of a party invitation.
