My personal favorite way is to use the in-game server browser via 'Find a Game' and 'Community Servers'. Never had a problem finding a good game this way!
Just launch the game, click 'Find a Game', select 'Community Servers', and scroll through until you find one that looks fun!
Joining a server in TF2 is easy! Just fire up the game, go to 'Find a Game', click 'Community Servers' and pick one you like.
Forget all that, just press 'Find a Game' and let the matchmaking do the work. You'll be playing in no time.
