To join the Brotherhood of Steel in Fallout 4, just follow the main quest line until you complete the mission 'When Freedom Calls' where you help Preston Garvey and the settlers. After this, you'll start hearing a military broadcast on your radio, inviting you to the Cambridge Police Station. Head there, help Paladin Danse fight off the ghouls, and complete his follow-up quests. Doing so will get you an invite into the Brotherhood of Steel. Easy peasy, power armor squeezy!

The fastest way to join? Befriend Paladin Danse. But, if we're being honest, exploring other factions first might give you a better feel for the game. Rushing to join might lock you out of some cool content.
I rushed to join the BoS and kinda regret it. Take your time, explore, and then decide if the Brotherhood's rigid ways are for you. That power armor though...
