How to Keep Fallout Shelter from Autosaving
CorrectingGait路8 months agoShort answer? You can't. Fallout Shelter autosaves to keep your vault progress safe. It's actually a good thing, keeps you from losing progress if your game crashes!

Unfortunately, the autosave feature in Fallout Shelter is a built-in mechanism that you can't directly disable. The game automatically saves your progress to prevent loss of data, especially helpful if your game crashes or your device suddenly turns off. However, you can sort of manage it by manually backing up your game data at regular intervals. This way, if something happens that you want to undo, you can restore the game from your backup.
Actually, I tried something that kinda worked. Every time I made a significant move I wasn't sure about, I'd quickly force close the game to prevent it from autosaving. Then, I'd reload the game to see if it saved or not. Kinda hit or miss, but it's one way to 'control' it. Not perfect, but hey, when you're desperate...
