No way around it, you lose the islands when you rank up. That's part of the challenge and fun of the game!
Unfortunately, when you rank up in Ninja Legends, you lose access to all the islands you've unlocked. You'll have to climb back up again. Happy jumping!
I know it's a pain, but every time you rank up, you gotta re-unlock the islands. Just part of the ninja life.
