Laser and plasma weapons are your friends here. Super mutants hate those! Aim for the head or legs to slow them down or do extra damage. And don't forget to use cover! Those mutants pack a punch with their heavy weapons.

Sometimes running away is okay. Seriously, if you're low on health or ammo, just book it. Live to fight another day, you know? Not every fight has to end with a mutant head as a trophy.
Sneaky sniper strategy works wonders. Find a good hiding spot and pick them off from a distance. Higher ground helps. And if you can, upgrade your sniper rifle with a suppressor to stay undetected longer.
Explosives. Lots of them. Grenades, mines, whatever goes boom. Super mutants aren't the brightest, so lure them into traps or chuck a grenade into their midst and watch the fireworks.
Just go all in with Power Armor and a heavy weapon. Minigun, missile launcher, you name it. It feels like swatting flies with a sledgehammer – expensive in ammo, but oh so satisfying.
