Lure Thumper into traps or environmental hazards whenever possible. Secondly, teamwork is key! Coordinate with your team to distract Thumper and hit it from multiple angles. Lastly, don't forget to manage your resources wisely; running out of ammo at the wrong time is a surefire way to get squashed.
Thumper? Just run. Why bother fighting when you can scavenge elsewhere and live another day? Not worth the ammo IMO.
Quick tip: aim for the head! Thumper's headshots deal more damage. Keep moving, keep shooting, and don't let it corner you.
