Honestly, just enjoy collecting without obsessing over the value. It's all about the love for Pokemon, not the price tag.

First off, check out TCGPlayer or eBay for the most recent sales of the card you're interested in. Prices there give you a good ballpark. Don't forget to take condition into account because a mint card sells for way more than a played one. Also, rarity symbols on the card help; a little star means it's rare, for example.

Most cards ain't worth much unless they're super rare or vintage. So don't get your hopes up too high unless you've got something from the base set or a shiny Charizard.

A quick tip: use the Pokemon TCG Player app to scan your card and instantly get an estimate of its value. Works like a charm for a quick check!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
