How to Know if My Pokemon Card is Rare
SingingRidge·7 months agoAnother quick method is to look for any unique textures on the card. Full art or cards with a textured finish are typically rare or ultra-rare. Also, don’t forget to check the card number; if it's higher than the total number in the set (like 105/100), it's definitely a rare find.

Honestly, just google the card name and number. There's tons of info online, and specific websites dedicated to Pokémon TCG will tell you right away if it's rare, how rare, and its possible value. Less hassle, more reliable.
First up, check the bottom right corner of your card. If you see a symbol there, like a circle, diamond, or star, that's your rarity indicator. Circles denote common cards, diamonds are uncommon, and stars mean you've got yourself a rare card. Also, holographic cards are almost always rare or ultra-rare, so if it's shiny, you're likely holding onto something special!
Star symbol? Rare. No star? Not rare. Simple as that.
