Plug it in and look at the light bar. If it’s slowly pulsing orange, your DualShock 4 is getting some juice!

From personal experience, you can also check the battery icon on the screen when connected to your PS4. It shows a lightning bolt if charging.

If the light bar on your PS4 controller is glowing amber or pulsing orange, it's charging. Simple as that!

Honestly, just look for the light bar to change colors. If it’s orange, you're good to go.
