Green dot = online. Simple as that!
From my experience, the easiest way is in Direct Messages. If they are online, you will see 'Active now' or 'Active X minutes ago'.
Just look for the green dot in DMs or on their profile pic in your feed. That's a dead giveaway!
Check the Direct Messages section! If they're online, you'll see a green dot next to their profile picture.
