Just weigh them! Real Pokemon cards have a specific weight, and fakes will often be lighter or heavier. Not the most scientific method out there, but it's a quick check.

The easiest way to tell is often the card border. Genuine Pokemon cards have clean, sharp edges. Fakes? Not so much. Crude edges are a dead giveaway.

Spotting fake Pokemon cards can be tricky, but there are a few giveaways. First, check the card texture. Real ones have a certain smoothness and glossiness; fakes often feel flimsy or overly glossy. Second, the color and print quality - if the colors are off or the print looks low-quality, be suspicious. Another big tell is the font used for the card text; it should be consistent with genuine cards. If in doubt, compare it to a card known to be real!

Honestly, the best tip I can give is to buy from reputable sources. If the price seems too good to be true, it probably is. Stick to known retailers or the official Pokemon website to avoid fakes.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
