One quick way to spot a fake Funko Pop is to look closely at the box. Authentic boxes have a clear, crisp font and usually include a holographic sticker indicating exclusivity or a special edition. Fakes often have blurry text or misspellings. Also, real Funko Pops have a detailed and neat paint job, whereas fakes might look sloppy or have colors that don't quite match the character they're supposed to represent. Lastly, check the bottom of the box or the figure for a serial number – genuine Funko Pops always have one!

I bought what I thought was a rare Funko Pop on a really good deal, turned out it was a fake. The biggest giveaway was the paint quality and the texture of the figure. Real Funko Pops have a certain solidity and weight to them, and the paint is always spot on, no smudges or color bleeding. Also, the box didn't have the usual shiny sticker of authenticity. Always double-check these things before buying!

Honestly? Just weigh it. Most of the time, fake Funko Pops are lighter because they use cheaper materials. If it feels suspiciously light, it might be a knockoff.
