The grade of a Pokemon card is determined by its condition, which includes factors like centering, corners, edges, and surface. Official grading services like PSA, Beckett, or CGC can professionally grade your card for a fee. They'll scrutinize your card under a magnifying glass (figuratively speaking) and then encapsulate it with a grade. The higher the grade, the more pristine the card, and likely, the higher its value.

Honestly, unless you're looking to sell or insure your cards, professional grading might not be necessary. If you're just collecting for fun, your own opinion might be all the grade you need.

Just eyeball it! If it looks pretty and shiny and doesn't have any obvious dents or scratches, it's probably good. But seriously, if you want an exact grade, you gotta send it to the pros at places like PSA or Beckett.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
