First off, rarity is a big deal. Look for symbols on the card like a star (rare), diamond (uncommon), or circle (common). The less there are, the more it's probably worth. Also, check out the card's condition. No one's paying top dollar for a card that's been through a washing machine. Edition matters too – first editions or cards with misprints can be super valuable. And don't forget to compare with online prices. Websites like eBay or TCGPlayer can give you a ballpark figure of what people are willing to pay.

Honestly, it's all about the market demand. A card can be rare, but if no one wants it, it's not gonna fetch a high price. Keep an eye on the competitive scene and see which cards are in high demand. Those usually go for more.

I found a rare card in my attic and thought I hit jackpot. Turned out it was just a common one that looked fancy. Always double-check with a reliable source or get it appraised before getting too excited.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
