Just hold down the options or menu button to bring up the main menu, navigate to the social tab, and select your name to leave the squad. Easy peasy!
Press the social menu button, and you’ll see your squad members. Click your own name and select 'Leave Group.' Done and done!
If you wanna leave a squad, just open the social menu, click your name and hit 'Leave Group'. Nothing to it!
