How to Leave Squad While in a Mission in Warframe
From my experience, you can exit a squad by opening the menu and selecting 'Abort Mission.' I've done it a few times when my squad was just... not the best.

Just abort the mission. Simple as that.
To leave a squad mid-mission in Warframe, just open the pause menu, select 'Abort Mission.' This will exit you from the mission and send you back to your orbiter. But keep in mind, you'll lose any mission progress and resources collected.
Press your 'Options' button, go to 'Abort Mission,' and confirm. Boom! You're back on your ship, no squad attached. Fair warning: you lose your loot, but desperate times and all that.
