How to let Terraria run in the background?
DebiasingPons路8 months agoTo keep Terraria running in the background, head to the settings menu in-game. Look for the 'Pause' option and make sure it's set to 'Off.' This way, the game won't pause when you tab out to another window. Also, consider running the game in Windowed mode instead of Fullscreen, as this can sometimes help with multitasking on other applications without freezing or pausing Terraria.

Just alt+tab out of it, lol. If you've turned off the auto-pause, it should keep running fine.
Honestly, why would you want it running in the background? Sounds like a perfect recipe for coming back to your character dead, lol.
I run a dual monitor setup and can confirm Terraria stays active on one screen while I work or browse on the other. Just make sure auto-pause is off, and the game's in Windowed mode. Works like a charm every time!
