I linked mine for a game and it was super quick. Just went into my game account settings, clicked on the Steam link option, logged into Steam, and bam, connected!
Honestly, it's as easy as finding the 'Add a Steam account' option in the settings of whatever platform you're on. If you've ever linked any account to anything before, it's pretty much the same process.
Sometimes you gotta make sure your Steam privacy settings allow for linking. Some apps can't connect if your profile's on lockdown mode.
