Steam should just add a transfer feature already. Copying files feels like we're back in '03.

Actually, easier than it sounds! Just copy your game folder to a USB, slap it into the new PC under SteamApps, and let Steam do a quick verify. Voila! Gaming on without the long wait.

No direct way to do it, but the manual transfer works like a charm every time. Just make sure both PCs are authorized on your Steam account.

Steam doesn't support a direct method for local game transfers between two PCs. But, here's a workaround: copy the game files from the SteamApps common folder on PC1, transfer them to the same location on PC2, and then 'install' the game in Steam on PC2. Steam will verify the game files you've transferred and download any missing or outdated ones, instead of re-downloading the entire game.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
