Finding Shimmer in Terraria is like a mini-adventure on its own! First up, you gotta wait for the 'shimmer' event, which kinda just happens randomly. When it does, head to an area in the game where water is present because Shimmer likes to hang out there. Look for a sparkling effect on the water surface, that's your cue! Shimmer can be used to craft cool stuff, so happy hunting!

Short and sweet: Shimmer shows up during specific events. Find bodies of water and look for sparkles. No water, no shimmer. Simple as that.

I stumbled across Shimmer by accident one night while fishing. Wasn't even looking for it, but there it was, making the water all sparkly. Best fishing trip ever, 10/10 would recommend keeping an eye out while you're near water!
