Select your units, hold down the Alt key, and right-click to drag into formation. Easy peasy!
Simple, just select the units you want, hold down Alt, and drag into position. Bam, formation locked!
Hold down the Alt key while moving your units, and they'll stick to the formation you set them in. Keep it tight!
Why lock formation? Micro those bad boys manually for ultimate control. Just my two cents.
