First, switch to the Third Person or Cockpit view, then press the key bound for targeting enemies (default 'X'). Keep the enemy in your crosshairs, and boom, locked on!

Use your radar if you're in a plane with one. Press 'R' to lock onto the nearest target as long as they're in range. Happy hunting!

You can't really 'lock on' like in some games, but keeping your reticle on the enemy and using the lead indicator helps!
