Just use a third-party app locker from the app store to secure WhatsApp. Tons of options there!
You can use your phone's built-in app lock feature if available. For Android: go to Settings > Security > App Lock. For iOS: use Screen Time to set app limits.
IMO, use WhatsApp's own fingerprint lock over any third-party app. Extra layer of security, folks!
