Simply press 'Shift' and use the mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out. You can also hold 'Ctrl' and move your mouse to tilt the camera!

Enter build mode, then click on the 'Roof' icon or use the 'E' key. You'll get a bird's-eye view, making it easy to look at the top of your building.
