Just google the card number and the word 'Pokemon'. Seriously, it works more often than not. If there's a unique feature or Pokemon name you can pronounce or type in, add that to your search. The internet knows everything.

Start by identifying the expansion symbol on the card - it's usually a small icon that indicates what set the card is from. Then, use a site like Pokellector or the official Pokemon Card website to match that symbol with the correct set. They often have filters for different languages including Japanese. Also, typing the card number, which is found at the bottom of the card, into these databases can help pinpoint the exact card you're looking for.

Honestly, learning the basic Japanese for numbers and Pokemon names goes a long way if you're deep into collecting Japanese Pokemon cards. Most databases use English transliterations for names, so knowing how to convert can be super handy!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
