Honestly, just download a pre-made Bedwars map. Tons of them are available online, and you save a bunch of time!
I made my own Bedwars map by first building individual islands for each team, then I connected them with bridges made of different materials. I added iron, gold, and diamond generators in key spots. It took me a weekend but was totally worth it!
