Making a chain in Terraria is super easy! You just need an Iron or Lead Anvil and then combine 1 Iron Bar or 1 Lead Bar. This will give you 10 Chains. You can use these chains for all sorts of things, like making grappling hooks or part of the materials for a sawmill!
Need chains? Got iron or lead? Bam, you're set. Anvil 'em into existence. Chains for days.
Don't overthink it. Iron or lead + anvil = chain. Easy.
