Oh boy, you're in for a treat! To craft that shiny Demonite Pickaxe, you gotta defeat the Eater of Worlds or the Eye of Cthulhu first to get some delicious Demonite Ore. Melt that ore into bars at a furnace - you'll need 12 bars. Don't forget, you also need 6 Shadow Scales, which the Eater of Worlds graciously drops. Finally, strut over to an Anvil, and boom, craft your pickaxe! Happy mining!

Just find the ore after beating bosses, smelt, grab some Shadow Scales, and use an Anvil. Simple.

Demonite Pickaxe? Waste of time. Go straight for the Reaver Shark by fishing in the Ocean biome. Beats digging around for Demonite.
