Start by picking a strong theme or type around which to build your team. Water, Fire, or Psychic are popular choices because they have a lot of synergy and powerful cards. Make sure to include a mix of Basic and evolved Pokémon, and don't forget to balance your deck with a good ratio of Pokémon, Trainer cards, and Energy cards. Trainer cards can really turn the tide of battle, so include ones that let you draw more cards or search your deck for Pokémon and Energy.

Honestly, just pick your favorite Pokémon and have fun with it. Sometimes, the best team is the one you enjoy playing the most, not necessarily the one that wins all the time. Who knows? Your favorite Pokémon might just become the secret weapon of your deck.

Don't sleep on colorless Pokémon! They can fit into any deck because they don't require specific Energy types. Also, having a variety of Pokémon types can help cover weaknesses against certain opponents. Diversify your strategy and you might surprise yourself (and your opponent) with how effective your team can be.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
