DIY all the way! Grab some cardboard, tape, and paint. Cut the cardboard into a strip wide enough for your cars, then paint or mark two lines for the start and finish. You can get fancy by adding a stand made from more cardboard and even creating a checkered flag design with black and white squares for that authentic finish line look. If you're into tech, there are tutorials online on how to add electronic sensors to detect the winner!

Overcomplicating it folks! A finish line can be as simple as a drawn line on the ground. If the cars cross it, boom, there's your winner.

Honestly, just use whatever you have lying around. I once made a finish line from two stacks of books with a shoelace stretched between them. Worked like a charm, and the cars zoomed right under it!

I actually built one with a friend using a Raspberry Pi and some sensors. It announces the winner aloud and even keeps track of race times. Definitely on the geeky side, but super fun to build and race with!
