Honestly, just buy it. Making a silicone mold can be a hassle and if you're not careful, you might ruin your original part. Not worth the headache if you ask me.

I've tried making molds before! It's key to use a mold release agent on the Hot Wheels part before pouring the silicone. This way, the part doesn't get stuck and you get a clean mold. Patience is your best friend here.

Making a Hot Wheels part mold is actually a pretty cool DIY project. You'll need some silicone molding rubber, a mixing cup, stir sticks, and your original Hot Wheels part for making the mold. First, secure your Hot Wheels part on a flat surface. Then, mix the silicone molding rubber according to its instructions, pour it over the part, and let it cure. Once it's set, carefully remove the mold, and voila, you're ready to cast duplicates of your favorite parts!
