Making a Roku channel isn't too crazy! Start by signing up for a Roku developer account and then download the Roku SDK to build your app. Once you have your content ready, package it all together and test your channel using the Roku developer tools. Honestly, hire someone.
From my own experience, you'll need to get familiar with BrightScript, Roku's preferred language. Once you're comfortable, follow their docs to create and publish your channel. Trust me, it's not as scary as it sounds!
