Unfortunately, you can't craft a shield in Minecraft PS3 Edition. Shields were introduced in the Java Edition 1.9 update and are not available in the older console versions.

If you want to block attacks in Minecraft PS3, your best bet is to use a sword for blocking. Shields are only available in newer versions of the game.
