I usually just import a high-res image of a starfield and slap it onto a background object. Quick and effective.
To make a starfield texture in Cinema 4D, create a new material, add a noise shader, and tweak the settings until it looks like stars. Then apply it to a sky object!
Use the 'Celestial' shader in C4D; it鈥檚 practically built for this kinda thing. Tweak the parameters to your liking!
