First, open your image in GIMP and add an alpha channel (Layer > Transparency > Add Alpha Channel). Erase the parts you want to be transparent, then save it as a .tga file. Your spray should now have transparency in Team Fortress. I did this myself, and it works like a charm!

Easy peasy! First, create your image with an alpha channel in GIMP. Make sure you delete the areas you want transparent, then export it as a PNG. Done and done!

Adding transparency to your Team Fortress spray in GIMP is a straightforward process. Just don't forget to use that alpha channel and export properly. Learned that the hard way!

Use GIMP, add alpha channel, erase, and save as a PNG or TGA. Transparent spray complete!
