Just head into your Facebook settings. Under 'Privacy', select 'Limit Past Posts'. This will change old posts to be visible to friends only, but for total privacy, change the audience to 'Only Me' for each post. It's a few clicks but worth it!

Takes some clicks: Settings & Privacy > Settings > Privacy > and change the visibility to 'Only Me'. Then go to your activity log and manually adjust older posts if needed.

Honestly, just go to Settings & Privacy. They have options there to limit past posts. Takes like 2 minutes.

Easy peasy! Go to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Privacy. Change 'Who can see your future posts?' to 'Only Me'. Then, go to your past posts and use 'Limit Past Posts' to make older posts private. You're all set!
