You can make all your photos private by going to each album in your Facebook profile and setting the privacy to 'Only Me'. It's a bit of a chore, but worth it!

Go to your profile, select 'Photos', then 'Albums'. For each album, click the little globe icon and change it to 'Only Me'. Voila, private pics!

Just put your entire profile on lockdown by going to `Settings & Privacy > Privacy Settings` and adjusting who can see your posts. Done and dusted!

So, here's the deal: you need to manually set each album and photo to 'Only Me'. It's Facebook's way of making sure you really, really want those pics private.
